Derbyshire-based award-winning photographer ASHLEY FRANKLIN ARPS, ABPPA, APAGB offers a wide spectrum of photographic services

Welcome to the world of a major, award-winning and extremely modest image maker. It's a smaller world now, though I like to think small is beautiful. I have just spent 20 years as a pro photographer, photographing everyone from royalty to rough sleepers and everyone inbetween - butchers, bakers and, yes, even candlestick makers. However, I have gradually reduced my commercial work to, er... 'focus' on other photo-related commitments.

I am concentrating more on my Photo Art which can be purchased here on this site.  Just click on Galleries and then Photo Art Prints.

I also run Under Tuscan Skies, an annual workshop in May in the Val D'Orcia, Tuscany with professional landscape photographer Ian Daisley.  Read all about it on my Tuscany page.

I present a talk Under A Tuscan Sky to camera clubs along with talks about my photography, as well as a two-part talk on photography in general covering its history and genres such as advertising, war, documentary and science and nature photography plus a section on the controversial world of photo art.  I also give talks to WIs, U3A, Probus groups etc. There are two talks about my 15 years with Derbyshire Life magazine and a new talk on flower and garden photography.  To read more and to view the glowing testimonials, click here

At long last, I have produced my first ever photo book: Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site - A Photographic Record. This is the first ever photo book of the Derwent Valley. In its 228 pages there are almost 500 photos with more than half by me, over 75 by my fellow pro Ian Daisley and over 120 photos by 50 invited photographers. It's selling outstandingly well, too, as you'll see below. To find out more, go to the Derwent Valley Book Project website here

I have also just entered the jigsaw market through a company called Great British Jigsaws, and will be producing a series of jigsaws based on my images.
